1. Introduction
Welcome to The Continent Club Sponsorship Policy.
This Sponsorship Policy governs all sponsorships, promotional partnerships, advertising opportunities, event sponsorships, awards sponsorships, directory promotions, livestream sponsorships, branded campaigns, and other marketing opportunities offered by The Continent Club (“The Continent Club,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By applying for or participating in any sponsorship opportunity with The Continent Club, you agree to comply with this Sponsorship Policy, our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any additional written agreements between you and The Continent Club.

2. Our Mission
The Continent Club is the digital home of the African diaspora.
Our mission is to connect African communities worldwide while celebrating entrepreneurship, leadership, culture, innovation, education, and opportunity.
We carefully select sponsorships that align with our mission and contribute positively to our community.

3. Sponsorship Opportunities
The Continent Club offers two primary sponsorship opportunities.
A. Event Sponsors
Event Sponsors help support The Continent Club Annual Awards Gala by providing financial contributions, products, services, or discounted services.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
● Event venues
● Restaurants and catering companies
● Beverage providers
● Photographers
● Videographers
● Entertainment providers
● Event decorators
● Printing companies
● Hotels
● Transportation providers
● Luxury brands
● Other approved service providers
Event Sponsors may donate their services or negotiate discounted services with The Continent Club. Whenever possible, The Continent Club encourages a minimum 50% discount, although this is not required and may vary by sponsor.
In return, Event Sponsors may receive promotional benefits, including logo placement, public recognition, website visibility, event signage, social media recognition, networking opportunities, and other benefits depending on the sponsorship agreement.
B. Grant Sponsors
Grant Sponsors help fund The Continent Club Grant Program, which supports selected African-founded startups in the United States and Africa.
Grant Sponsors may contribute through financial sponsorships or other approved forms of support.
Grant Sponsors may receive recognition during the Annual Awards Gala, on The Continent Club website, in promotional materials, and through other acknowledgments determined by The Continent Club.

4. Sponsorship Approval
Submitting a sponsorship application does not guarantee approval.
The Continent Club reserves the right to approve, reject, postpone, suspend, or terminate any sponsorship application at its sole discretion.
Approval may consider:

● Community impact
● Legal compliance
● Business integrity
● Safety considerations
● Platform standards
We are under no obligation to explain why a sponsorship application is declined.

5. Sponsor Eligibility
Sponsors must:

Sponsors remain solely responsible for all promotional materials they provide.

● Flyers

● Social media links
● Brand assets
● Marketing copy
By submitting promotional materials, sponsors represent that they own or have permission to use all submitted content.
Sponsors remain responsible for any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property claims arising from submitted materials.

8. Sponsorship Placement
The Continent Club may display approved sponsor content through:

● Mobile application
● Business Directory
● Event pages
● Gala materials
● Digital signage
● Livestreams
● Spotlight features
● Newsletters
● Social media channels
● Printed materials
● Marketing campaigns
Placement, size, duration, and visibility may vary depending on the sponsorship package.

9. No Guarantee of Results
Although we strive to provide valuable exposure, The Continent Club does not guarantee:
● Sales
● Revenue
● Leads
● Customer acquisition
● Event attendance
● App downloads
● Brand awareness
● Website traffic
● Social media engagement
● Media coverage
● Business growth
● Return on investment
Sponsorship results vary depending on numerous factors outside our control.

10. Payments
Sponsors agree to pay all applicable sponsorship fees before receiving sponsorship benefits unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension or cancellation of sponsorship benefits.
Sponsors remain responsible for any applicable taxes associated with their sponsorship.

11. Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement, sponsorship payments are generally non-refundable.
However, The Continent Club may issue a full or partial refund at its sole discretion under exceptional circumstances.
If a sponsor violates this Sponsorship Policy or our Terms & Conditions, no refund will generally be provided.

12. Sponsor Conduct
Sponsors may not promote:
● Illegal products or services
● Fraudulent businesses
● Counterfeit goods
● Hate groups
● Violence
● Harassment
● Adult content
● Pornographic material
● Human exploitation
● Gambling where prohibited
● Pyramid schemes
● Misleading financial opportunities
● False advertising
● Any content inconsistent with The Continent Club’s mission or Community Guidelines.

13. Intellectual Property
Sponsors retain ownership of their trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property.
By participating in a sponsorship, sponsors grant The Continent Club a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display approved promotional materials solely for purposes related to the sponsorship.
This license automatically ends when the sponsorship concludes unless otherwise agreed.

14. Event Changes
The Continent Club reserves the right to:
● Reschedule events.
● Modify event programs.
● Change venues.
● Change speakers.
● Modify sponsorship benefits.
● Replace digital placements.
● Cancel events due to circumstances beyond our control.
Where practical, reasonable substitute benefits may be provided.

The Continent Club shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Continent Club shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from any sponsorship, including lost profits, lost opportunities, business interruption, reputational harm, or loss of goodwill.
Our total liability relating to any sponsorship shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the sponsor for the applicable sponsorship.

17. Termination
The Continent Club may suspend or terminate a sponsorship immediately if:

● The sponsor engages in unlawful conduct.
● Fraud is suspected.

Termination may occur with or without prior notice where permitted by law.
